The hotel retains the character of an English country house while providing modern standards of comfort and a warm friendly atmosphere that has encouraged many guests to return again and again. Each bedroom at the Grasmere is named after one of the many great writers and poets who have been inspired by the beauty and grandeur of the Lake Districts landscape. Just as each writer has his own particular style, so each room is individual in style, size, decor and furnishings. Some feature the unashamed luxury of a four poster bed, or pamper the guest with velvet coronets and drapes over the bed. All rooms are en suite private bathrooms, and all have central heating and direct dial telephone. Complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, toiletries and magazines are all provided as standard. Some bathrooms include a bath, separate shower and WC; others have a shower and WC only. Two of the bedrooms are situated on the ground floor, for the convenience of guests for whom stairs are a problem. | |

Das Hotel hat den Charakter des englischen Landhauses behalten, und bietet dennoch alle modernen Komfortstandards und eine warmherzige, freundliche Atmosph+ñre, die viele unserer G+ñste zu einem wiederholten Besuch ermutigen. Jedes Zimmer im Grasmere wurde nach einem unserer grossartigen Schriftsteller und Dichter genannt, die die Sch+¦nheit und die Pracht unserer Lake District Landschaft inspiriert hat. So wie jeder Schriftsteller seinen eigenen Stil hat, so sind alle unsere Zimmer individuell in Gr+¦sse, Stil, Dekor und Einrichtung gestaltet.
